A journey through the grand and fragile
On April 27th, Udlejre Church invites you to a musical journey through the night – from the deep shadows of the evening to the first light of dawn.
The church’s majestic organ and large concert grand piano provide the backdrop for an atmospheric musical experience with soprano Sofia Schmidt and pianist Simon Jansfort.
“Mørket synger Lyset svarer” is a fusion of classical art music and the aesthetics of modern rock and metal music in a moody and powerful acoustic concert.
Schmidt and Jansfort interpret songs from artists such as Tesseract, Puccini, Nightwish, and Fauré, where the music is reborn dressed in new tonal colors.
A journey through the grand and the fragile, through darkness and light.
The concert explores the idea of the classical concert format and examines how rock and metal music share intensity, drama, and depth with classical lieder and arias.
This concert is an experience where genres blur, boundaries fade, and raw emotions stand out in sharp clarity.
