You’ve never heard a diary like this before.

The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts – School of Visual Arts is hosting the event Rundgang in Charlottenborg. Artist Yimin Dong creates a performance piece which they describe way better than I ever could:

“The name of the piece is called ‘of which memories are leaving and sadness remains’. It is a 45-minute long score based on my personal diary from January to June. Musicians will be guided through performing it live for an audience. It’s an open,exploratory, improvisatory experience”

I’m excited to join the ad hoc orchestra of different instruments, voices, genres and essences with my voice and my framedrum for this very honest and personal piece. Interpreting the graphic scores in an improvised and experimental setting – no repeats, no plan, only raw emotions.
