After winning the german symphonic metal band’s song cover contest, the prize was taking part in the choir for their massive new single Verge of War.
Unable to go to Hamburg during the lockdown restrictions, we instead recorded the vocals at my own Otherworld Studios on an SM7b.
I engineered the recording of tenor vocal lines from fellow winner Andreas Ollikainen as well.
The beautiful Italian lines were a joy to sing! I mostly sing german classical repertoire, so this was a fresh new inspiration.
I first encountered the band by random chance at Wacken Open Air in 2014, where they played an impressive show! A tiny fangirl moment came true by joining in on their new musical creation.
